Baby boy Armstrong

Baby's gender: boy
Last name: Armstrong
Heritage: american
I want a modern/stylish name that's not too popular
Other children's names: Malayna & Myleigh

I would like to stay away from caden, jaden, hayden, aiden sounding names

Our first question- wondering if you want to stick with an M name or not? Until then here are some modern boys names that go with Malayna and Mylegh include:
Miles
Milo
Mason
Landon
Logan
Chase
Cole
Colton
Max
Hudson
Lincoln
Grayson
Camden
Kai
Griffin
Easton
Cade

Let us know if any of those are along your lines and we'll go from there.

Baby girl Villnave

Baby's gender: girl
Last name: Villnave

I want a unique name, but nothing too bizarre.
Other children's names: If the baby is a boy we have chosen the name Braedan Henry.
Letters or initials you want to use or like: I like names that end in "a"
Any other requirements: The middle name will be Laura. We liked the name Hazel, but another close friend has used the name. Also like Fiona and Mia.

Looking forward to seeing your ideas!

Thank you
I love the name Hazel! So beautiful, classic and simple. I would really consider it despite your friend having a daughter with that name, unless you see her ALL of the time.
Other names along the lines of Hazel are:
Iris
Ingel
Mabel
Maude
Gretta
I also love Fiona... a more unique alternative to that is Finnola.
Mia is also a nice name... I have a friend with a daughter named Amelia that goes by Mia. It's a nice alternative, as is Camilla - which can be Mia or Milley.
Let us know if anything along these lines is to your liking and we can go from there with more choices!

Baby girl Mohr

Girl
Mohr (sounds like More)
Classic, but we're open minded.
Our other daughter's name is Daphne Anne Mohr.
Would prefer to not use another name that sounds too similar to 'Daphne', and would also like to avoid 'M' names.
I'm also not that fond of girl names that use an 'a' or 'ie' sound at the end in order to be feminine (with the exception of Daphne, of course :-)

Thank you!!!

The first name that popped into our heads was Amara Mohr, though it does have the "a" ending but it's not an "a" for the sake of being feminine.
The next thing that comes to mind are the Irish Cliffs of Mohr, which makes me lean to Irish inspirations... like Shannon or Claire.
On the classic front without "a" or "ie" endings...
Laurel (which Daphne happens to mean laurel tree)
Iris (another greek goddess like daphne)
Isabel
Eve
Ingrid
Heidi
Jillian/Gillian
Marlowe
Madeleine
Harper
Sloane
Camille
Evelyn
Teagan
Hazel
Adeleine
Celeste
Skylar
Juliette
Scarlet
Frances
Let us know if any of these are in the direction you want to go and we can come up with more possibilities.

Baby boy Shaw

Baby boy, middle name Alton, last name Shaw. Please help!
Other kids names: Bailey & Parker
Nothing starting with the letter G, as the initials would be GAS!I would prefer a name that is not too popular but not wierd either.

Alton is a nice middle name and Shaw is a last name that can work with a lot.
We'll think on this and get back with you with more names. But for starters, how about any of these names below? Any that you might like we can take those to make a better list later. And if you don't like any, give us a little mor background about what you're looking for in a name - like Euro, classic, popular, etc.

Chase
Colt
Liam
Beau
Finley
Zane
Camden
Riley
Cole

Ryder
Grey

Baby boy (likes Oliver, but not Oliver)

Boy.
I like Oliver, Jude and Milo but those are way too trendy. I really love Oliver but I suspect it's too popular (I live near SanFran). I hate realizing that my taste run toward urban intellectual. I don't want a trendy, popular name but classic names are boring (to me). What is good middle ground? I like names that can shorten to a cute nickname. Also, cannot start with B or M, last name starts with M. Thanks in advance!

Urban intellectual. I like the way you put that.
If you love Oliver, you might want to use it and pair it with an untraditional middle name that you could use as a first name, or using it as a middle name that he can go by.
Here's some ideas. Let us know if any of these are close and we can go from there.
Declan (Dec)
Daxton (Dax)
Ellis (Eli)
Silas (Cy/Si)
Riles (Ry)
Drakos (Drake)
Orion (O or Rye)
Camden (Cam)
Greysen/Grayson (Gray)
Grahmn/Graeme (Gray)
Wellesley (Wells)
Lincoln (Link)
Prescott (Pres)

Baby boy Maiford

Boy
Maiford
Caucasian/Hispanic
We want a hip unique name.
We don't like alliteration (another M).
We'd like to avoid common names (either traditional or too trendy). We'd like his name to stand out, but not too far that he'd get picked on!

Hip names that are classic but uncommon are great and it's smart to stay away from trendy names. The trick is finding a good name that doesn't sound weird. But if it stands out there's a chance no matter how awesome that kids will try to pick on it. The key is finding a name with no bad rhyming possibilities.
Here's a few ideas. Let us know what you like from this list and we can then zero in on that type of name.
Declan (nickname Deck)
Cannon
Lachlan (pronounced lock-lan) (nickname Lock)
Vaughn/Von
Kellan
